Excess baggage
Excess baggage is considered to be the total weight in kilos, the sizes or number of pieces which exceed those permitted by the airline company. On the back of your ticket you will find all the information necessary about accompanied baggage.
Consult the airlines on which you're traveling about their policy for changing excess baggage
Despatching Baggage
On checking in ,the airline will give the passenger numbered baggage tags , showing points of departure and destination, weight, declared value of each piece. This tag is contractual proof of transporting the baggage.
Loss and Damage
If baggage is lost or mislaid, the passenger must, on arrival, obtain from the airline company a registered acknowledgment and take this to the local authorities for official recognition .
The following informations will be required while fulfilling the P.I.R form :
- Tag number of the lost baggage
- Type, color and brand of the lost baggage as well as any other possible identification
- Contents of the lost baggage
- Ticket and check-in receipt showing the weight of the lost baggage.
Obs: The form must be signed by the airline employee and the passenger without which it is invalid.
