Travelers may buy up to US$500.00 at duty-free shops at ports and airports after arrival and before going through customs. Such amount is not deducted from baggage allowances.
In addition to the overall US$500.00 limit, the following limits apply:
24 units of alcoholic beverages , no more than 12 units per beverage kind
20 packs of imported cigarettes
25 units of cigars
250 grams of tobacco for pipes
Travelers of age under 18 years are not allowed to buy alcohol beverages nor tobacco articles.
Shopping done at duty-free shops when leaving Brazil are treated as any other goods bought abroad, that is, they become part of the travelerīs baggage and are taxed normally.

Who may buy :
Travelers arriving from abroad , before passing customs and having proper identification
Travelers leaving Brazil having a boarding or transit pass
Crew of departing international flights
One must present air ticket-boarding pass and proper ID (passport, identity card) .

Duty free shops take foreign currency and local Brazilian currency , the REAL
Payments in REAL may be in cash, banking or credit cards American Express, Visa , Mastercard, Diners or JCB.
Payments in US dollars, Canadian dollars, Euros, Swiss Francs, Yens and Sterling Pounds may be done in cash, Travellers Checks or American Express, Visa , Mastercard, Diners and JCB credit cards. Conversion to US dollars or Reals will be used. Prices are shown in American Dollars.
Air travellers are free from taxes on
-clothes and personal objects in accordance with length of stay and aims of the trip
-books and periodicals
-any object up to US$ 500.00
All travellers must fill a baggage declaration, Tax rate on goods over US$500.00 is 50% on the amount exceeding the limit.

Warranty
All the products purchase bought at duty free shop have a warranty up to 90 days for defectives of fabrications .
Our warranties include repair , exchange or money value paid back in local money corresponding to the exchange rate of the dollar on the date of the return of the merchandise .
